About these photos

I'm using this gallery to upload photos shot during my looping journeys. In the photos you can see whatever was looping around me at the time.

A funny detail is that even though I shot photos at musical events, most pictures show rather boring traveling logistics related environments. The explanation for this odd selection is that I can't photograph the stuff that is the real focus of all this looping around, because at those precious moments I'm busy playing music. Hope you enjoy the photos anyway!

What is Live Looping?

General description is that you record your own playing with foot control pedals - loop it, bend it, hack it, crack it, whack it; all while you keep playing the acoustic instrument as part of this instant orchestration. In one go you become the composer, the director and the orchestra!

My particular style in Live Looping draws on a structural approach to improvisation that might as well be called Instant Composing. I make instrumental music with a strong storytelling quality and improvise many musical parts at the same time - loop processing as well as live instrument playing. Always in search of The Unplayed Music!
